Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4 1954. She is a comedian from Canada, actress, and writer. O'Hara is the proud recipient of many prizes, including the Genie Award. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. In 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Awards. O'Hara made her debut as an actor in 1974, when she was in The Second City, an Improv comedy group located in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara joined Candy on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). She received critical acclaim both for her writing abilities and acting and was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
